Hebel Blocks are easily cut-to-size using an old carpenters handsaw, or a special AAC handsaw.
Can you cut through Hebel?
Cutting, sawing, abrading, chasing or crushing Hebel Protect your eyes and lungs. Hebel autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) panels and blocks are supplied as non-hazardous. However, dust from cutting, sawing, abrading (such as rasping, scraping, grinding down), chasing or crushing is considered hazardous.

Waterproofing Hebel is absolutely critical. Especially below grade to prevent early degradation of the AAC. Maxseal coatings produce a decorative waterproof finish on AAC. DIY or a professional can produce the desired effects.
