How do I connect my MG995?

Connection Diagram

  1. Connect the power voltage pins of the MG995 Servo motor to the 5 Volts pin and the GND pin of the Arduino UNO. This will energize the motor.
  2. Connect the PWM input pin of the motor to the Arduino PWM output pin D6 to control and rotate the motor.

What is servo MG995?

MG995 Metal Gear Servo Motor is a high-speed standard servo can rotate approximately 180 degrees (60 in each direction) used for airplane, helicopter, RC-cars and many RC model. Provides 10kg/cm at 4.8V, and 12kgcm at 6V. It is a Digital Servo Motor which receives and processes PWM signal faster and better.

What is MG996R?

The MG996R is a metal gear servo motor with a maximum stall torque of 11 kg/cm. Like other RC servos the motor rotates from 0 to 180 degree based on the duty cycle of the PWM wave supplied to its signal pin.

What is stall torque of servo motor?

Stall torque is the torque load that causes a servo motor to “stall” or stop rotating. A stall torque of 35 kg-cm means that the servo motor will stop rotating when it is trying to move a 35 kg weight at a radial distance of 1.0 cm.

Is MG995 a continuous servo?

TowerPro MG995 – Continuous Rotation 360° Metal Gear Servo Motor is a high-speed standard servo can rotate 360 degrees.

How does servo motor MG995 work?

These motors run on electricity from a battery and spin at high RPM (rotations per minute) but put out very low torque . An arrangement of gears takes the high speed of the motor and slows it down while at the same time increasing the torque.

How much current does a MG995 draw?

Current: 4.8V to 8.8mA, 6V to 9.1mA (empty);

Is MG995 a digital servo?

Description : The TowerPro MG995 High-Speed Digital Servo Motor rotates 90° in each direction making it a 180° servo motor. It is a Digital Servo Motor that receives and processes PWM signals faster and better.

Is MG996R a continuous servo?

The Continuous Rotation Servo MG996R has the ability to rotate continuously in 360 degrees at both directions. This makes this servo perfect for robotics or even the rotation of camera sliders!
