How long does it take to walk through the Toledo Zoo Lights?
Depends on what you like to see. We usually take 3 to 4 hours. We always take time with the primates and apes/monkeys. They’re usually very entertaining.
How many lights are on the tree at the Toledo Zoo?
The 2019 electrical spectacle is sure to be both merry AND bright! The annual lighting of the award-winning Big Tree, an 85 ft. Norway spruce decorated with 35,000 LED lights, will take place in the Garden area at approximately 6 p.m.
Do you have to make a reservation for the Toledo Zoo Lights?
Reservations are required to visit Lights for both Toledo Zoo members and non-members. Reservations help us control the capacity inside the park and will help prevent line up of vehicles in to our parking lot on busy days.

We strongly encourage guests who are unvaccinated continue to wear facial coverings in our indoor buildings and maintain six feet from individuals who are not members in their household. How long does it take to go through Toledo Zoo?
They can only last so long in the heat and needing to rest, so a trip to a zoo that is more than an hour away from us, requires some planning. Thankfully, my kids were troopers and we spent around 5 hours there exploring.
Can you see the animals at Toledo Zoo Lights?
The Zoo is not open during the daytime. Admission gates open daily at 3 p.m. for Lights. How can I view the animals? We advise guests interested in viewing the animals to make reservations for a 3 p.m. arrival time so to maximize your animal viewing time before it gets dark.
