Solden is just 20 minutes’ drive down the valley from Obergurgl and the two resorts are connected by a bus service. Solden has a similar, but slightly larger, high altitude ski area, so intermediates and above staying in Obergurgl and Hochgurgl will definitely want to ski in both ski areas.
