How can I join IChO?

The International Information Center of the International Chemistry Olympiad is based in Bratislava, Slovakia. Countries who wish to participate in the IChO must send observers to two consecutive olympiads before their students can participate in the event.

What is INChO exam?

The Indian National Chemistry Olympiad (INChO for short) is an Olympiad in Chemistry held in India. The theory part of the INChO examination is held in end-January/beginning February of every year. It is conducted by the Indian Association of Chemistry Teachers.

Will IPhO 2022 be Cancelled?

To our great regret, in spite of our country’s readiness to host the event, the IPhO International Council extraordinary meeting, which was held on 3 April 2022, decided to cancel the IPhO 2022 in Belarus.

  • Date of birth between 1 July 1998 and 30 June 2003, both days inclusive.
  • Must not have completed (or scheduled to complete) class 12 board examination earlier than 30 November 2017.

How hard is Chemistry Olympiad?

The questions are difficult – they require students to apply their knowledge, solve problems and make educated guesses. The key is not to give up, and remember that even a seemingly low mark can earn an award. For example, in 2021 students needed 17 marks out of 85 to earn a bronze award.

Who are eligible for InCHO?

To appear for the InChO exam, one must qualify for the NSEC exam. Students after passing 11th and 12th grade can take part in InCHO after qualifying for the first stage of the examination.

Who is eligible for Ino exam?

Indian National Olympiad (INO) is the second stage after NSE. About 300 students per subject (500 in Astronomy) are selected to write the INO Exam 2021-22. Students will be eligible for INO (in the particular subject) if they score equal to or greater than the Minimum Admissible Score (MAS).
